I'm back

Well, I'm kind of back. I have been so tired and worn out from this pregnancy that I haven't done much picture taking lately. I took these of Caroline a few weeks ago. They aren't great, but I had to put something up. Maybe I'll get something more recent in the next few days.

Coop Baby

Funny kid. Hated the hat, loved the candycane. Can't blame him though. Just a festive picture at his 9 month old mark.

Elizabeth

I've been neglecting this blog for a while. I haven't done much since it snowed. I'm not quite set up with my studio lights, so I don't want to offer that as an option yet. I'm really a much bigger fan of natural lighting, although you can do some cool stuff in the studio. It's been a while since I've gotten any good pics of Elizabeth. Today she was actually wanting to pose for me. She'd say, "close your eyes and I'll surprise you". Funny girl. She's growing up and looks like a big little girl. Make sense? :)

Here are two pictures of Cooper and one with Brian by this barn up at the farm. It was a great backdrop.

Fall in the East

So we just got back from our trip to PA to visit Brian's family. It was a great trip minus the sicknesses and last leg of our flight home. Caroline just wasn't very agreeable. I guess that's 2 year olds for ya! We took a walk around a Philadelphia park. That's where the two bridge pictures are, and the tree one was just up at the farm. There are so many amazing places for pictures out there, especially with all the fall colors. I'll have more pictures that I'll post later, but for those of you anxiously awaiting new pictures, these are for now. :)

Lowe Family

We spent a couple hours up in American Fork Canyon taking pictures of this cute family. It was pretty cold, but the kids stuck it out with a smile, thank goodness. Aren't they a cute family?!

Fall Time

Took the kids to try and get pics at the park today. Only got a few. Too cold and not sunny enough. Well, the ones from Coop are at the park, the one of Caroline is in Coop's room.

Question....

How's my coloring? On my computer it looks like I want it to, but on a few others that have said anything, my coloring is too strong. It's the computer difference, not the picture, because when I've looked on their screen, it's way too much. I don't know if it's my settings or theirs, but if you could leave me a comment and let me know how it looks on your screen, then I'll see what the majority is. I'd appreciate it. I might need to recalibrate my screen. I've heard that's possible, but I need to read how. Just click on the comments link right below the message. Thanks.

Missed Monday

So my sister told me she looked on Monday and I hadn't posted anything. (I said in my 2nd post Mondays would be the day for new posts). So...... here I am on Tuesday posting for her since really, I have no idea if anyone else even looks at these. Is it all for me? Probably. Anyway, Cooper is my best subject these days. He'll pose for me anytime of the day, anywhere. Always full grin. I learned how to do something new on Photoshop this week thanks to my friend Ginnie. I gave it a try on one of the pics of Coop. Maybe not the best picture to try it on, but kind of a cool effect. Effect or affect? I think effect. Boy, HS english all over again. Anyway, so this is it until next Monday.

Poor little thangs!!!!

My poor kiddos are subjects for my endless attempts at a good shot of them. I finally got some cute ones of Liz. Caroline is still in her "I won't look at you stage" and throws a great face every once in a while. Liz is looking so grown up to me. Guess it's bound to happen. Anyway, had fun with these trying to get different lighting and strong color saturation. Thought they turned out cute.

Miracle Baby

This is little Matthew. He was born 13 weeks premature and only weighed 1 lb 14 oz. He's now up to 8 1/2 pounds. Quite an amazing miracle. His parents are the sweetest people with such great faith. We took these in their front room since it's still risky to take him out. Sometimes the greatest miracles come in small packages.

Busy busy busy!

I've been so busy this last week and I got a new camera so I've been trying it out, but I'm still trying to "get" it, so I have one picture which isn't necessarily a great photo, but it's a dang cute boy (if I may say so myself)! Then the other one is a family picture I took several months ago of my sister and her husband with their first baby boy. Thought it was sweet.

Capturing A Child

I love taking pictures of children and catching them spontaneously, not always a posed shot. Sometimes the best ones are the ones where you see them "in action".

This little girl is so cute. She's Caroline's best friend and they have so much fun together. Doesn't she have the sweetest little face?
