I have a few sessions I need to post on here, but my most recent is what I'm sharing today. I met the neatest lady at my church a few weeks ago and she had the cutest baby so I asked her if she'd let me take some pictures of him. I mean look at him!!! This is the kind of chubby baby I always wanted. The cheeks, the belly and arm rolls! Love love love!!! He was so stinkin' cute and we had such a fun time taking pictures of him. Such a happy baby!

This girl is one of our little neighbor friends. She is one of those girls that is just so with it and has awesome confidence and just seems so mature for her age. It was so fun to take her pictures. I didn't have to work to hard. She knew how to work the camera on her own!

This past weekend I was able to photograph this super cute couple on their special day. It was raining as I got there, but right as they came out, so did the sun. The grooms Dad became my diffuser helper and helped me get all the right lighting. Couldn't have done it without him! Here are some of the shots from this wonderful day! More to come...

I've done a few family pics the last week or so. I finally got around to editing some. The first family I grew up by. It's so fun to see how the families grow and I'm glad our parents are still across the street so we can catch up every once in a while.

This second family has been our best friends the past year. Our babies were born 3 days apart and we've had so much fun watching them grow and get together and play games and eat yummy food. Here are a few from this weeks photo shoot.

I also took some pictures of them when they were just about 2 months old and I never got around to posting them. Don't know why because I love them, so here they are now. They've grown so much!

This summer has been so busy. I've been gone a lot so I haven't done too many shoots, but things are starting to pick up some more, which I really enjoy. For my mother-in-law's bday I took pictures of all 12 grand kids to update their picture wall. I feel like they turned out pretty good. We moved pretty fast since the oldest is 12 and the youngest was 8 months old. These are my kiddos. Love them!

This beautiful spot was just down the dirt road a little. Can't believe there are this many kiddos and how fast they are all growing!

We had a great time out there and spent some time on Seneca Lake in New York. I wish I would have had some time to go around and photograph the area, but instead I got a few from where we were.

Our drive home I had to pull over and grab a few pictures of the windmills in Wyoming. I thought they were so spectacular! Again..... wish I had had more time to photograph all the beauty around me. Maybe next time.

Before we left for our trip I was able to get a few pictures of my cute little neighbor boys. I love the one of the older brother choke holding the little brother. Makes me laugh. Probably a more true portrait of everyday life.

This past weekend I had 3 photo shoots. The first one was a family from our neighborhood 2 years ago. Amazing how much a family can grow and change in that time! It was fun working with them and their kids are beautiful! Guess it's from their good lookin' parents.

The next day I had my cute little nephew. He has the bluest eyes and the cutest smile. He was so easy to get to smile.

Later that night I had an engagement shoot. Before they got there I was sitting in front of the Salt Lake LDS temple and thought it looked so awesome, so I snapped a picture. Such an amazing building!

I haven't had a chance to get through all of the pictures yet, but here's one that caught my eye as I ran through them. Fun couple and amazing eyes! So fun! Can't wait to get through the rest of them.

I don't know if I'll ever get caught up. There's so much going on and much more happening, but I'm thrilled to post some pictures of my sister's wedding we just had. It was a wonderful day and she was a beautiful bride! We love the choice she made and he'll be a great addition to our family! I had a hard time deciding the pictures to post. I may have to add more later. I still need to do her bridals too. See.... never caught up!

I'm still playing major catch up with all the pictures I've done over the last 6 months, but I thought I'd post a few from the wedding I did last Saturday. It was AWFUL weather!!! It was seriously out of control and very surprising that we even got this first one without any snow all over her beautiful face! We finally called it quits, but here are a few that I thought turned out great.

New Nephew

I got a new nephew about 3 weeks after our baby was born. He is so sweet and just so perfect looking. My sister and her family came up for a visit so we snapped a few pictures of their cute family. We got one of the proud new big sister:

Then we got a few of the family together. You can see the personalities really shine in the family pictures! That little Maya is such a spaz!

I really loved how vibrant the colors were and they were in my own back yard! We love this family!

A little later on, Mama, baby and I snuck off for a quick photo session of just the babe and I thought some of these pictures just turned out so priceless. Isn't he just a beautiful baby?! Looking forward to more photos throughout his life!

Rarely do I find myself in front of the camera, but I had to take advantage of the moment when my Mom had all my other kids and so it was just baby and me. I wanted to snap a few pictures of the two of us together, something I didn't really do with the others in a more "formal" set up. I was pleased with how they turned out especially considering that I was using a timer and my remote to try and get them of myself. So glad that I did this!

Growing up

I haven't been on here for a while and haven't been doing a whole lot of photography, which has been a nice break. We're on the count down. 2 more weeks until this baby is due! The other day I played around with my lights, the first time in our new house, and snapped a few of Elizabeth. She's growing up so fast! Probably won't be putting much up here for the next little bit either until I get a few of our new baby, so until then.....

Wedding Bells

The wedding bells are just around the corner. We headed to Salt Lake City this past weekend to do some bridals and a few of them together. I haven't had a chance to get through all of them yet, but here are a few that caught my eye.

I thought this one was just perfect. Her eyes look absolutely AMAZING and I thought it was so soft and just beautiful. What a pretty bride! I couldn't decide between the color and B&W so I put them both up. I think I'm leaning more towards the color one though.

I have others with the 2 of them together but I haven't had much time to go through them, but I really liked this one. Her veil kept catching in the wind and I thought it was just perfect. A few more weeks until the big day. I'm sure they can't wait.

These two were so easy to photograph. They had instant smiles and never looked frozen. We cruised right through the session and walked away successful! I always say it, but it's so fun doing engagements because they're in love and sincerely happy and wearing genuine smiles! Thanks you 2. It was fun!

Senior Time!

This cute gal was in town for her Spring Break and we were able to get some Senior pictures of her. She just got her braces off and has a great smile to show for it. We headed over to 1st Dam and took some pictures over there. It had just been raining and was so cold, and then, about 20 minutes into it the sun came out and warmed up. We worked fast and got some great shots. Can't believe it's almost graduation time. Too fun!

I got to photograph my friend's 3 week old baby today. She's so beautiful. It's crazy how small new babies are, or more so crazy that we forget how little they are. We had to work with her a little. Poor thing wanted to sleep but we were moving her all around and trying to get the right shot. We finally had to make it work as best we could. The main one we were working on was this one with the firehat. It's her Grandpa's and we were trying to get her more ontop but she hated it. Can't blame her though... a hard cold hat. But this still turned out cute.

Of course all she wanted to do was sleep. I would love that too! Don't babies look so angelic when they sleep?! I doubt I look that sweet and innocent.

I love her little lips, nose and sweet eye lashes. So sweet.

We did have a battle with keeping her eyes either totally open or totally closed. This is the only shot we got with her eyes totally open, well, and not crying. :) Sweet little thing!

Wedding Bliss....

I feel so bad that it's taken me almost a week to get these pictures up. I have been so beyond tired and just not feeling well with this pregnancy that I was just not jumping at it to get working on these, so you know it must be bad because normally I'm up all night going over these pictures. Well, today I was actually anxious to work on them, so I think I'm on the up and up. I was thrilled with some of the pictures we got. I love the first picture you get when the couple walks out of the doors as an officially married couple. That's some of the truest smiles you'll get!

Leanne, of course, looked absolutely beautiful! I had some people tell me that she has the most perfect skin, almost like a porcelin doll and I think I have to agree. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture. She's so stunning!

Blake looked so handsome in his tux and I loved catching their little looks at eachother. I really liked how this one turned out.

And I was so thrilled that there was some color out there! The grass was actually green and we caught a few of these early rising tulips. Yay!

After a little while we were going through the motions of taking pictures, but then we caught this great "for real" smile. Love it!

The day was perfect. I think it was supposed to snow, but we got out of there without any snow. The reception center was beautiful and I think they were having a great time. Here are 2 from reception.

And how about this handsome little guy! Isn't he the cutest little redhead you've ever seen?! SO cute!

It was a fun day. My feet were killing me, but I was around this great couple and their families and my sweet sister came up to help me out for the day. It was nice to have some company. Now I'm anxious to finish the rest of these pics. Love weddings!

I love everything about weddings from the engagements to the day. And I LOVE doing bridals. I love seeing the beautiful dresses and these beautiful women all dolled up. SO FUN! We headed out on Saturday to take some bridals of Leanne. She is so easy to photograph. She has the most stunning eyes and smiling or not her pictures are BEAUTIFUL! I had a fun trip out to Arizona last week. A little business mixed with pleasure. Since my sister moved out there, we haven't had the chance to get in her "hat session", so we took it out there and had a few minutes of fun. We started out with Miss M having a turn and she loved it.

She loved it so much that when it was her Mom's turn, we couldn't keep her out of the frame. Took some effort!

But I think we managed to get some really great ones. I love color, but for some reason, on all of hers the B&W really stood out more. I do love B&W too. Anyway... good times!

Okay sisters.... I thought I better do some explaining here. I did not even realize I hadn't put up any smiling pictures, well, aside from the first one. I was trying to hurry through and pick a few because she told me you'd want to see them ASAP. Anyway, I 'm an eye girl. I look for the eyes and I guess I just picked a few where her eyes stood out to me. They are so BEAUTIFUL! But you know that already! However... she also has a beautiful smile, so I hope I didn't send out a wrong message. You'll see what I mean about the beautiful smile.... scroll down! The Magic Hat...

So here's a great story..... my sister Jill got a hat from her sister-in-law and it's been passed around and finally ended up with my little girl so I thought I'd snap some cute pics of the girls wearing it. I posted them here. So one day I thought , " I want a good picture of me." Of course that means I have to take one of myself, so I did a few and then..... I saw THE HAT sitting on the floor, threw it on and it was like I was a different person. It transformed me, well, not really, but I felt sassy and liked the pictures a lot better with the hat.

This one seems to be the favorite. I'm not a hat girl but I felt like one wearing this one. I had said in my personal blog that every woman needs a picture that they feel beautiful in.

Well my sister came up this weekend and we had a photo shoot. She looked great and has the most beautiful eyes. We played around for a bit. I think we got some really great ones. I've always loved how she did her make up. Don't her eyes look beautiful?!

I love getting this look. I call it the "Cullen" look. I've only done one other one.

Then after about 25 minutes I said, "okay.... the hat." And then BAM! Magic. Look how beautiful that is! I think she looks so happy and beautiful. See.... magic hat! Thanks Mel. That was so fun.

One of my favorite things to do is to photograph weddings. So fun and such an important time in one's life. These two were so funny, I mean seriously. Half the pictures ended up like this:

The groom was such a gentleman. It was nearly freezing outside and he waited outside the car door to open it for his mother-in-law. Keep that up and you'll be golden!

It was so fun taking their pictures and seeing how happy they are together and how much they enjoy being together. Made me want to run home to my hubby and pretend we were 20 again! Congrats you two. You make a beautiful couple!

I guess Logan is as cold as they say. Haven't done any pictures outside lately, just way too cold! My Mom and sister came up this weekend, so we shot some pictures of the youngest cousin- Porter. He's grown up quite a bit since his last photo session. He's so easy to get to smile and isn't that hair just so cute?! We had a good time having them visit. We headed down to Salt Lake for New Year's, but I stopped by Primary Children's Hospital with my sister Jill to take pictures of these sweet babies. The Mom is a friend of Jill's from Hawaii and she just had these sweet little babies 4 weeks ago. They were barely over a pound each. Amazing! It was a tougher shoot than usual in the way that there was no light, small space and we couldn't really move them or pose them but they were so perfectly still that it worked out okay. I couldn't believe how tiny there were. Right as I was getting to leave, the daddy walked in so we were able to grab a few with him. Hope you like these pictures Hayley. You can tell they are very special girls!

The kids actually wanted to take pictures today. It was fun. My sister gave them this cute hat and so we played around with it a lot. I know there are a lot of B&W ones, for some reason some of the picture's colors were bad, but this first one of Liz I thought was great. Cute girls if I may say so myself! :)

I've been itchin' to get some pics of my kids. I know I take them all the time, but I wanted something fun and cute. Cooper came in the room with one of the girl's friend's hat on and I thought it was cute, so I drug him upstairs for a few pics. I just think he's so handsome!

He wanted to play with my lighting umbrella and since he was being such a good sport.... I let him. He looks like a chimney sweeper to me here. :)

I LOVE doing engagements and weddings. It's so fun to be around people in love. They are genuinely happy and you don't have to work very hard to get them to smile! These two were so cute. It was like below freezing but they were still smiling and seemed to be having a good time. We hit up two spots in Utah County and avoided getting the snow at either one. That was a blessing! These two were so much fun and I can tell they're going to have lots of laughs over their lifetime. I mean, who else do you know of that sent out fake engagements just a short time after knowing eachother? Good luck you two!

How about that! My second post today. This family is a friend of mine. Our little girls play together and go to preschool together. The first time I saw this little girl, I knew she would photograph so well and I was right. She's such a beautiful little girl. We had a little wrestling with the boys, many goofy faces and starting over the posing and such, but it was fun and I think we got a good shot of everyone. You might recognize this baby from here. He's 5 months now and still as cute as can be! We had to work really hard for any smiles. About 20 minutes into the session he needed to eat and then we got a few more smiles, but he was too interested in the things around him and not much for workin' the camera. Still, being as cute as he is, a smile wasn't always necessary. Here are a few of my faves.

Well it's been like 2 months since I shot these. My cousin and her hubby came up 'cause he was doing LOTOJA. Crazy if you ask me! I finally got Isabelle's hair in pig tails and so wanted a picture of it, but she has turned into an anti-picture taker. And way too early if I might add! This was what I was dealing with most of the time.

Occassionally I got a glance in my general direction, but still, not giving me much to work with.

So I thought, okay, it won't be a solo shot, I'll have to get in there with her to get a picture. Well.... I forgot to put the remote down. So although a decent picture, minor distraction.

So we tried again and cropped in closer. Not always a fun experience with my own kids, but at least we're getting some pictures of them!

Here are a couple shots of the brothers from last night. Aren't they cute?!!! The Mom of these cuties was trying to get a more serene look from the kids and the youngest one was so funny. He couldn't NOT smile. It was so opposite from what I'm used to. I'm used to trying to get them to smile and somehow we were saying "don't smile. No smiling". It was too funny. I loved the way these shots looked in the Mocha Baby action(thanks Ginnie). Then you can really focus on their faces. Cute family!

I had so much fun doing this photo shoot tonight. These 2 beautiful girls were so fun to photograph. They have such stunning eyes and really were so easy to get good pictures of. They are so beautiful and I wonder if they really know it. I hope these pictures help give them a little idea of how beautiful they are.
We tooke some pictures of their cute brothers so check back to see those. Here's a quick sneak peek. I have a ton to go through but I have to give a lesson in church tomorrow, so I have to stop before the night is gone!

When I finished processing this one, it totally made me think she should be in Twilight as one of the Cullen family. Yes, I'm a nerd. I read all the books and loved them, so shoot me! But seriously, don't you think she could pull it off?!

And I can't get over how beautiful she looks and how dramatic and awesome her eyes are!

This fall was so beautiful. We printed off into a 30x40 to put in Brian's office and it looks awesome. I love it. I think I'm becoming a fan of nature photography. Still lots to learn, but a fun start.

Did some messin' around in the studio today. I haven't really pulled my lights out much in the last 5 years since I've had them because there hasn't really been much room to use them, but we have this great room now and so it's fun to get them going again. Snapped a few of Cooper today. He was pretty good at working with me, but it's hard for me to hurry and catch that sparkle when his sister is sitting on the floor in front of him with Dora tiles. Next time, no Dora!

I took both my cameras and a lens in for some repairs and cleaning, so I've been without my camera for almost 2 weeks now. Well, I have my point and shoot, which I hate, so basically without a camera. I'm starting to get a little ansy. I have 2 photoshoots this weekend and am anxious to get them back. In the meantime though, I've been going through pictures and trying to get them a little more organized and I came across this one of Isabelle from last year. I thought it was super cute, so had to add it on until I shoot something new. Got some projects in mind for the near future, so check back!

Spent all day our last day in PA going to Rickett's Glen State Park. It was beautiful. Thanks to the rain the day before, we had a full show from all the falls. It was a great hike and many photo-ops. I think this is one of my faves so far.

Had a fun weekend seeing the Grand Tetons. I've been wanting to switch a little of my focus in photography to play around with landscape and macro. They are totally different from portrait. Since I recently moved again, photo shoots are few and far between, so I thought I'd give these 2 a go. They're harder than they look. Especially landscape. Oh well. Here's my attempt from this past weekend. Also my first play around with photostitching. Since I don't have a wide angle, I played with photostitching. Not too bad.

This is the sweet little boy of one our dearest friends. We watched him while they took the day to play with 2 of their other cuties. Doesn't he have the best kissey lips and look at those cheeks! I could kiss on them all day. He was such a good kid for us. Doesn't he look like a little angel?!

You'll have to excuse my sometimes horrible coloring. I do everything on my laptop which looks just how I want it. Then I look at it on another computer and it is oh so wrong! I need to get a monitor calibrator so bad! So just take a little color out in your mind!

So we had some serious battles with the rain this day. It looked like it was going to be clear, and then 3 minutes later it was in a down pour. We worked it out though. Then the rain wasn't the issue, then it was the birds, or planes or bugs or anything that moved really caught the eyes of the youngin's. Each age has it's challenge I guess. We had a good time though and I think there were some cute ones.

We got super bored on Saturday. What do you do with so many little ones? We pulled out some water balloons and then some bubbles and just chilled on the driveway. I got a few of Isabelle that I thought turned out pretty cool. Sometimes a misjudgement on "correct lighting" can actually be the perfect lighting. I love catching their eyes in a dramatic way.

Brian was blowing bubbles and I was trying to get one of the kids catching them. It was a lot harder than I had anticipated on getting one that showed the bubble well enough. I liked this one because you can see the sky reflection in it. Way cool.

So all of my many hours showed up on the front door step today. It wasn't due here until Tuesday, but it surprised me. The wedding book from the Kowallis wedding. It was so fun to put together. I think I'll keep doing it for each wedding.

This is my 100th post. What a great one too! I had such a great weekend playing in California and photographing one of my college friend's wedding. I LOVE weddings. This couple is so cute together and it was so fun to be part of their special day. The bride looked beautiful of course!

B&J Wedding

This is the wedding last week where it was near blizzard but stopped long enough to get some pics. It was freezing! But we made it. Here are just a couple. I'm still going through all of them so I'll post more later, but one of my faves is the one where he's carrying her and you can just see the tops of their faces over the blanket. They were fun even if it was freezing!

I had another wedding last weekend (pics coming soon) and it was snowing horribly when the couple was getting married, but about 10 minutes before they came out, it cleared up. Amazing blessing! I'm always in awe by this magnificient building and it always looks beautiful no matter the weather.
